A well-designed front entrance should complement the home’s architecture while providing security and everyday functionality. For this project, we installed a custom fiberglass door with 2 sidelights in Richmond Hill, creating a clean, contemporary entrance that fits the home’s modern exterior.
The entrance features a 42 × 108 fiberglass slab with modern grooving, double grey glass sidelights, and a long vertical pull handle. Together, these elements create a balanced design that enhances curb appeal while allowing natural light into the entryway.
Before the replacement, the entrance featured a pair of double doors with tall glass inserts and a transom above. The new configuration changed the proportions of the opening by introducing one large 42 × 108 fiberglass slab with two narrow sidelights.
Custom Design for a Modern Home
Every entrance has unique dimensions and design goals. Instead of using a standard door, this project required a custom fiberglass entry door built to match the opening and the home’s contemporary style.
The combination of a taller slab, narrow sidelights, and subtle grooving creates a minimalist appearance without unnecessary decorative details. Double grey glass adds privacy while maintaining a bright and welcoming entrance.
Security Meets Contemporary Style
Along with its modern design, this fiberglass front door with a multipoint lock provides additional security for everyday use. The locking system secures the door at multiple points along the frame, helping achieve a firm, reliable closure.
A long pull handle completes the contemporary look while complementing the clean lines of the door and surrounding glass.
Installed in Richmond Hill
